Description
A beautiful antique six-panel English coffer or trunk, dating to the William III period in the early 1700s, the piece has recessed panels with moulded edges around them, it is decorated with three geometrical carvings on its front, The coffer rests on four carved legs, the interior has a candle box, a compartment closed by a lid that can also be used to hold the lid of the coffer in an upright position, The chest has the original hinges, it was made in the finest quality oak and it has a beautiful warm brown rich colour with a deep silvered gloss, caused by being polished over the many years, this piece works wonderfully as a blanket box at the bottom of a bed, coffee table, TV table, or hallway chest, the dimensions are 141cms wide 60cms deep standing 84cms tall, I am happy to deliver locally for a small fee, or arrange a courier nationally
