8 day longcase clock

Description

This is an 8 day duration longcase clock with a 13" engraved brass dial with engraved chapter ring and calender wheel .It is in original oak case. It is all in unrestored condition,exactly as I bought it except I fitted a new suspension spring to the pendulum ,removed the dial and applied oil to all the pivot holes.All of the pivot holes do not show any bushing needed. After years of not going ,it is now working perfectly and keeping excelant time and striking the hours on the original bell. I think the maker was Jeremiah Winstanley of Holywell who was known to be working mid.18th Century. I have shown pics. showing the original seat board with a small packing on the right side but no packing on the left side. Pic. 8 shows part of the framework of the case being level with the left hand cheek. I think the maker,when fitting the movement to the case,made a mistake as I am convinced the dial and movement belong to the case..Cast iron weights and brass pendulum .With winding key .Original lock and key to the trunk door. 91 inches; tall. With a little TLC it will be a beautiful clock once again. Collection from my house in
