Description
A rare collectable hand painted Grimwades Royal Winton Cheese dish. The dish forms part of the cottage ware range.
The roof is dark and light pink, the walls bedecked with flowers and trees, there are small doors to two sides and a large barn door with hoist above on another. On one side there is a large water wheel that touches a blue painted water effect area on the dish which is also painted with flowers etc.
The stamp on both base and mill is "Ye Olde Mill. Made in England. Grimwades Hand Painted. Registration applied for " .
The base also has what looks like the artists mark Z or N
The base, measures 19.5cm long and 15.5cm wide and the mill, measures 15cm long and 10cm wide and a height of 14cm.
The condition is good apart from a small mark on the water wheel side.
