Description

This is a Single Ended 100% “Pure class A” Stereo Valve Amplifier and was voted Hi Fi World amplifier of the year. It is in full working order and in excellent cosmetic condition. Output valves have been checked and set for bias. The amp has had little use since new and therefore there is plenty of life in the valves. Includes Remote Control, Instruction Manual, Power Lead and RCA lead.

Designed in Leicester by David Shaw, hand built using only “point to point “wiring without the cheaper Printed Circuit Boards, using full sized audiophile components. Having power enough to drive almost any loudspeaker also having “Pure Triode” option for those preferring a “warmer” presentation.

So called “SINGLE ENDED” amplifiers are where only one output valve is used for each channel, this results in ultra-smooth “Pure Class A” performance from the most simple design possible, with an absolute minimal audio path. Previously, affordable Single Ended designs have been low powered at around 9-13w. The excellent new KT150 valve enables more than double this power for the same cost, allowing the use of less efficient speakers to enjoy this format.
