Technical Supervisor – Food Manufacturing

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE) + Benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, Days (flexibility required)

Contract Type: Permanent

Are you an experienced QA or Technical professional ready to take the next step in your food manufacturing career?

We’re recruiting for a Technical Supervisor to join a leading food processor supplying major UK retailers. You’ll play a key role in supporting the technical function, ensuring food safety, legal compliance, and retailer standards are upheld at all times.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong QA/technical background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow their leadership skills within a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Supervise the day-to-day running of the QA/technical team on site

*

Ensure adherence to BRCGS, customer COPs, and internal quality systems

*

Conduct internal audits and support external audits including customer visits

*

Support with investigation of non-conformances, complaints, and root cause analysis

*

Drive food safety culture and ensure hygiene, GMP and traceability standards are consistently met

*

Train, support and develop QA operatives to deliver excellent standards

*

Ensure product specifications and factory documentation are maintained and up to date

*

Work cross-functionally with production, hygiene, and NPD teams to support continuous improvement

Requirements:

*

Previous experience in a QA/Technical role within food manufacturing

*

Knowledge of BRCGS, retailer codes of practice (Tesco, M&S, Aldi etc.), HACCP and traceability systems

*

Strong communication and organisation skills

*

Ability to work under pressure in a chilled/high-care environment

*

Food Safety & HACCP qualification (Level 3 or working towards)

*

Experience supervising or mentoring staff is desirable
