Tree Planter/Forest Worker

Alexander Forestry are seeking tree planters for the upcoming planting season. Individuals should be fit, motivated and preferably have experience in the rural sector or a desire to work within the forestry industry.

At Alexander Forestry, quality is desired above quantity. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality planting and forestry works for a trusted base of clients. We therefore pay excellent piece rates and only ask that you uphold our high working standards.

No experience is necessary, though a desire to enter the industry is preferred. Having a good attitude and a willingness to learn are more important attributes; sites can be physically challenging so the ability to uphold morale is a necessary characteristic.

For the correct candidate with the right motivation, there is the potential to be put through your tickets such as the PA1/PA6 spraying, chainsaw or ATV tickets.

We carry out a variety of jobs across the Highlands, including new woodland creation planting, restocking and beat up planting, spraying, manual weed control and invasives removal. Generally, planting takes place over the winter season and maintenance takes place over the summer months.

You will be considered a self-employed contractor and will have to register as self-employed. This is a simple process; we can help you through this. This allows you freedom to choose your own working days. We work our hardest to have work available 5 days a week, though elements outwith our control- such as weather- can impact upon this.

A full driving licence is preferred, though if you have the ability to reach a designated meeting point in/around Inverness/the Black Isle then this can potentially be worked out.
