Are you an organised and hands-on individual with a passion for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? Astute Recruitment is working with a well-established Burton-on-Trent client seeking a Stock Controller to join their team on a part-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to play a vital role in a fast-paced production environment.

The Role:

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you’ll take ownership of various aspects of inventory management, helping to ensure the smooth flow of goods from production to customer dispatch.

Main Responsibilities:

* Produce stock from process sheets across work-in-progress and finished goods

* Prepare daily loading lists for customer dispatches

* Raise purchase order requests from internal departments

* Process goods receipts into the system

* Support monthly stock takes and reconcile any variances

* Update bill of materials within the system

* Generate and manage barcodes for products

* Provide cover on the sales order desk when needed

* Liaise with production supervisors and other non-financial staff to resolve queries

Candidate requirements:

* Organised and methodical approach to work

* Comfortable with Excel and general systems work

* A proactive, hands-on attitude – willing to get out onto the shop floor

* Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both finance and production teams

Benefits and hours:

* Salary: £25,000 Full time equivalent

* Approx. 25 hours per week over 5 days – flexible, ideally between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm

* 25 days holiday + bank holidays (pro rata)
