Farm/Agricultural Manager – Poultry & Livestock | Wiltshire | c£39,000 (5 days per week) or £15p/h 10hrs per week (6 days per week).

A progressive and well-established poultry business in Wiltshire is looking for a driven Assistant Farm/Agricultural Manager to play a key role in day-to-day operations and the continued success of the farm.

Location: Wiltshire

Salary: c£39,000 (5 days per week) or £15p/h 10hrs per week (6 days per week).

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

About the Role

Working alongside the Farm Manager, you’ll help oversee the daily running of the site, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, efficiency, and compliance. While poultry and broiler experience is ideal, we’re also keen to hear from those with a background in livestock or other areas of agriculture who want to develop their skills in poultry management.

This is a hands-on position with real responsibility, suited to someone with leadership potential, strong stockmanship, and the ambition to grow within a forward-thinking farming business.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Farm Manager in the smooth running of operations

*

Lead and motivate farm and stock staff on a daily basis

*

Maintain and improve flock health, welfare, and performance

*

Oversee biosecurity, hygiene, and health & safety standards

*

Monitor feed, housing, ventilation, and environmental controls

*

Keep accurate records, support audits, and analyse performance data

*

Act as deputy for the Farm Manager when required

What We’re Looking For

*

Background in poultry, broiler, or livestock farming (essential)

*

Proven ability to lead and supervise people

*

Understanding of modern farming practices and welfare standards

*

Proactive, organised, and able to work independently

*

Basic IT and record-keeping skills

*

Telehandler or machinery experience (desirable, not essential)
