Location: South Manchester

Shift: Monday – Friday 10.00pm – 6.00am

Salary: £30,368 - £31,824

The Role

As Packing Room Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for the accurate packing of products across multiple lines, ensuring that output is efficient, compliant, and meets customer specifications. Leading by example, you’ll coach, train, and motivate your team while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise operatives and ensure efficient, accurate completion of packing tasks.

Operate and oversee packing machinery safely and competently.

Delegate effectively and support your team’s development.

Monitor productivity and drive improvements in efficiency.

Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and company procedures.

Communicate new requirements and updates clearly to your team.

Contribute to production meetings, huddles, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve business goals.

The Person

We’re looking for someone who:

Has proven experience leading a team (or can clearly demonstrate leadership potential).

Brings experience in food manufacturing, FMCG production, packaging, or warehouse operations.

Holds Food Safety & Health and Safety Level 2 qualifications.

Is proactive, solutions-focused, and flexible in approach.

Communicates clearly, respectfully, and with professionalism.

Is committed to personal development and continuous learning.
