Veterinary Care assistant

Description

I have a lovely independant practice looking for an experienced VCA full time.

Must have at least 1-2 years previsous experience.

Core Responsibilities:

Animal Care:

* Feeding, watering, and ensuring animals have access to fresh food and water.

* Cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures, cages, and kennels.

* Grooming and exercising animals.

* Monitoring animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.

Assisting with Treatments and Procedures:

* Preparing equipment and treatment rooms.

* Assisting with basic treatments, such as administering medications (under supervision).

* Restraining animals for examinations and procedures.

* Monitoring animals during and after procedures.

*

General Practice Support:

* Maintaining a clean and organized practice environment.

* Handling and transporting animals safely.

* Some VCAs may also assist with reception or administrative tasks.

Specific Duties for Inpatients:

* Exercising, grooming, and feeding hospitalized animals.

* Monitoring and providing supportive care to inpatients.
