Job Title: Trainee Accountant

Location: Walsall, West Midlands

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000

About the Role:

A regional practice is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join their team in Walsall. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to continue their career in accountancy within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

*

Support with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts

*

Help with the preparation of personal and corporation tax returns

*

Liaise with clients to request and provide information

*

Use accounting software packages to input and manage financial data

*

Undertake ad hoc administrative and financial duties as required

Requirements:

*

Experience in practice: at least 1 year working on Accounts production

*

AAT qualified, ideally including level 4

*

Good numeracy and analytical skills

*

Proficient in Accounting software including Excel and Xero

*

Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
