Job Description Summary

As a Senior Credit Analyst in our CDMO pharmaceutical company, you will play a critical role in managing credit risk across a diverse portfolio of global clients. You will assess the financial health of customers, establish credit limits, and ensure compliance with internal credit policies to support sustainable growth and mitigate risk. This role requires strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, legal, and finance teams.

Job Description

(Key Accountabilities)

Define all key accountabilities (5-10), which the role will be expected to perform in short to medium future. Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers using financial statements, credit reports, and market intelligence.

Recommend and monitor customer credit limits, ensuring alignment with company risk appetite and business objectives.

Track and report on credit exposures, payment behaviors, and aging trends. Proactively identify and escalate potential risks.

Engage directly with customers to resolve credit-related issues

Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and procedures, and contribute to their ongoing development and refinement.

Work closely with Sales, Legal, and Finance teams to support contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and strategic decision-making.

Support in preparation of regular reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and recommendations.

Qualifications

GCSE or equivalent qualification in Mathematics and English

Skills

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in credit analysis, preferably within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sectors.

Strong understanding of financial statements, credit scoring models, and risk assessment tools.

Familiarity with international credit risk and trade finance.

Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel; experience with BI tools and High Radius is a plus

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Part-qualified in a professional accounting or finance qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, or CICM).
