Description

A growing business is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical and highly organised Qualified Accountant to join its finance team.

Working on a permanent, part-time basis (office-based - 2 Days per week), you will be responsible for preparing and managing financial records, reports, budgets, forecasts, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role requires a qualified professional (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA) with strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities As Qualified Accountant:

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Preparation of management accounts, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.

Manage general ledger and ensure accurate and timely closing of accounts

Analyse financial performance and provide insight into business trends, risks, and opportunities.

Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

Ensure compliance with all financial regulations

Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.

Assist with process improvements and automation of finance tasks.

Monitor KPIs and prepare reports to track business performance against financial goals.

Assist in cost control, profitability analysis, and margin improvement initiatives.

Conduct variance analysis and explain deviations from budget and forecasts.

Collaborate with operational and departmental managers to support financial planning.

Maintain and develop financial models and dashboards for performance tracking.

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

Support external audits and liaise with auditors as required.

Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives in financial reporting.

We’re Looking For A Qualified Accountant With:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA)

Experience in a similar role (depending on level).

Experience in healthcare/social care would be a distinct advantage

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero).

Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.

Strong knowledge of management accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage, QuickBooks).
