Legal Cashier Role Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Cashier to join a leading national firm, ranked in The Legal 500, and based in the centre of Brighton. You will be joining a busy accounts team and will be responsible for all cashiering duties while reporting to the Head of Accounts.
Legal Cashier Responsibilities:
* Monitoring Client and Office accounts and ensuring compliance with SRA rules
* Monitoring and advertising daily client funds, from the banking system for all electronic payments (CHAPS, BACs and FPS Making online payments through Office and Client accounts.
* Processing payments, receipts & transfers, manual cheques and/or cash banking
* Posting and paying staff expenses and supplier ledger
* Responding to email instructions from across the firm to set up/modify recurring transactions and resolve queries relating to individual accounts
Legal Cashier Experience Required
* Previous experience in a Legal Cashier or similar finance role within a law firm
* Sound knowledge of Solicitors' Accounts Rules (SAR) and legal accounting procedures
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
* Confident communication skills and a collaborative approach
* Proficiency with legal accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
A salary of 35k per annum is provided and hybrid working arrangements (3 days in and 2 out, subject to team availability) offered. For further information please apply below
