Description

This Finance Analyst role within a manufacturing business supports operational and commercial decision‑making through detailed cost analysis, performance reporting, and budgeting. Working closely with production and supply chain teams, the role uses SAP to drive insight, control costs, and improve financial performance across the site.

Description

Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis

Support standard costing and actual costing processes across manufacturing operations

Analyse material, labour, and overhead variances and explain performance drivers

Maintain and update product costings, including BOMs, routings, and overhead absorption

Support budgeting, forecasting, and re‑forecasting cycles

Partner with operations and production teams to improve cost control and efficiency

Provide financial insight on inventory, WIP, scrap, yield, and manufacturing performance

Support inventory valuation and stock reconciliations

Use SAP to extract, analyse, and validate financial and operational data

Assist with capital expenditure appraisals and post‑investment reviews

Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to financial controls

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance and manufacturingProfile

A successful Finance Analyst Costing should have:

A strong background in accounting or finance within the manufacturing industry.

Proficiency in cost accounting principles and financial analysis.

Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

A relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.Job Offer
