Salary: 25,500- 28,000 (depending on experience)

Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Office Based)

Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pmFriday: 8:30am - 3:45pm (Early finish!)

The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for an organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their friendly and supportive finance team.

Working closely with the Head of Finance in a small, collaborative team, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function for the business and one of its subsidiary companies. This is an excellent opportunity to build your skills, take ownership of your work, and develop your career within a growing organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

Posting and allocating bank paymentsProcessing purchase invoicesPreparing supplier payment runsCredit control and debt chasingManaging supplier and customer account queriesCompleting bank reconciliationsLiaising with the customer service teamSupporting the finance department with a variety of ad hoc dutiesAs you become established in the role, you'll also have the opportunity to gain exposure to payroll and contribute to finance improvement projects, giving you the chance to broaden your experience.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in producing accurate work, and is eager to become a long-term member of the team.

You'll ideally have:

Experience working in a busy finance or office environmentStrong communication and relationship-building skillsGood Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent attention to detailA proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilitiesThe ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
