Our client, a well-established accountancy practice based in Waterlooville, is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant / Senior to join their close-knit team. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone with a solid practice background who enjoys working directly with clients and tackling a broad range of accounting challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of company statutory accounts - ranging from straightforward to more complex casesDrafting corporation tax returnsOccasional preparation of directors' personal tax returns (not essential)Investigating and resolving incomplete accountsWorking with clients to clarify and correct poor bookkeepingSupporting with ad-hoc accounting exercises as they arise

About You:

Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essentialComfortable handling a mix of accounts, including more complex and incomplete recordsConfident communicating directly with clientsAble to work independently and as part of a small teamStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
