Hi everyone, I’m new to this page and in the coming weeks and months hopefully new to the area: my husband and I are relocating from Kent to Blaxhall- we are very excited!

I’m Michelle and I’m a fully qualified teacher with BA(hons) QTS and almost 25 years experience. I LOVE what I do and if I’ve made a difference to one child by giving them the confidence they deserve, helping them to reach their potential or inspiring a thirst for knowledge then my job is done.

I was a KS2 teacher and Leading Literacy teacher for many years before taking the leap and setting up my own tutoring business 8 years ago. Here, I have gained extensive knowledge of the Kent Test and the 11+ system as well as branching out into other keys stages and my services now extend to KS3 and 4 and I now teach GCSE maths Foundation Stage and Functional Skills for those who struggled with the GSCE system.

Our new house is a beautiful cottage in Blaxhall with a lovely summer house in the garden, which will be transformed into my classroom- Wise Owl HQ! Here, I will offer face to face sessions OR remote sessions via Zoom because let’s face it- after school can be chaotic with homework, after school clubs, tea time and bedtime routines etc (I’ve been there, done that and proudly wear the tshirt!)

When I’m not teaching or planning and prepping my lessons, I love walking my dogs, Hugo and Bean, on the beach or in the woods and getting stuck into a good book. I also love to bake so baked goods are often on offer and prove VERY popular with my students! I’m excited to discover new dog walks in Suffolk!
