History Tutor for N5 and Higher History

I am available to tutor History at National 5 or Higher level.

After feedback from tutees last year, I have decided to split the year. I'll be taking individual students now from September to December/ January to focus on their Assignment (worth up to 25%) and key content.

I will then offer January through to April, with a focus on key exam skills, with consideration of group sessions to reduce costs.

About me:

I have been teaching for over thirteen years and have experience in both the state and private sectors. In the last set of external examinations, 96% of my pupils sitting National 5 received an A grade and 92% of Higher pupil received an A grade with a 100% A-C rate.

I use a variety of study techniques to suit your child's needs, step by step guides to answering questions, as well as past paper questions, flash cards, retrieval practice etc. with extensive SQA marking experience, I know what is required in terms of content and skills. I am also fully abreast with the changes to the exam content and skills, including the the assignment worth up to 25%, and will ensure your child is fully prepared for them.

I provide tutoring online, which has been very successful. It allows me to share my screen in regards to power points, model answers, past papers etc. as well as communicate via Zoom/ Teams. I also mark all past paper work and will email feedback.

PVG disclosed. GTCS registered.

Cost £40 per hour, which is inclusive of a 50 minute tutoring session, marking, resources and exam materials. Can be either weekly or fortnightly sessions.
