Toyota Aygo
It’s a crowded marketplace these days for city cars, with the Toyota Aygo duking it out with the likes of the VW Up, Hyundai i10 and Kia Picanto. The Aygo stands out for its styling, with an eye-catching front end that buyers can customise by changing up the grille and wing section. There’s only one engine available, a 71 bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol, but there are five different trims to choose from. It’s been designed to be affordable to buy, run and repair, making it an ideal first car. As a mini car the Aygo performs as you might expect on the open road, but for nipping around the city it offers a great value option.
