When buying used girls' clothing, carefully inspect the items for any stains, tears, or damage to zippers and buttons. Check the seams for wear and tear. Ask the seller about the item's washing history, as frequent washing can affect the colour and fit. Consider the fabric type and its durability for your needs.
When buying clothing for young children, especially babies and toddlers, avoid items with small, detachable parts like buttons or embellishments that could pose a choking hazard. Ensure that any drawstrings are short and secure to prevent entanglement. Check that nightwear meets UK fire safety regulations.
