37Vehicle testing centres are closed on Sundays and Saturdays, as these are public holidays. MOT tests must be conducted during normal working hours. You can arrange your MOT up to three months in advance to avoid missing the deadline. There are two ways to book your MOT test: either through the official DVSA website or by visiting a local testing centre. Both methods are equally valid and won't affect your vehicle's roadworthiness. Driving without a valid MOT is illegal. If your vehicle misses three consecutive test cycles, it will be automatically classified as unroadworthy and could be scrapped by the authorities.
