Description
A genuine old wrought-iron casement window stay, with a lovely hand-forged appearance. 28cm long.
The stay has a distinctive forged scroll/loop at one end and a long perforated bar, with irregularities and surface patina consistent with traditional hand-forged ironwork. It has not been heavily cleaned or refinished, so retains its original aged character.
Condition: As shown in the photographs. Surface rust and age-related wear/patina.
Important: The original retaining pins are not included.
Ideal for restoration of an old cottage, period property, reclaimed window, or as a decorative architectural salvage item.
