Description
Pirelli Sottozero Winter tyre 225/45 R18 95H.
No longer required, as 2 of my winter tyres have worn out and I have changed to cross climate tyres. It has been said that winter tyres should be on the vehicle during every month with an r in it as they also decrease braking distance when the temperature falls below 7°.
9 years old this winter, but effectively 1/2 that age as it has only been used at below average mileage for ~ 6 months of the year and stored in a cover and garaged away from U/V etc for the rest of the year.
Over several decades of using winter tyres, I have found it useful to have a spare in case one gets damaged, as it can be impossible or nigh impossible to get a replacement, especially in the middle of winter.
