Mid Century "Magic Desk"
Ringwood, Hampshire
£400
Description
If you google "Magic Desk" and Swiss you will get all there is on this compact home office.
Apparently the Swiss Army design allowed secure moves of military papers, but the design was copied abroad and there are different versions. The` first to see this 75 year old design will have the choice of two, almost identical and in excellent condition each with 2 keys. As they are identical I have photographed just one of the two desks.
I am not sure what wood has been used in either desk but be advised the internals are composite ply type design leaning more towards military efficiency than mid century luxury.
If you google Swiss and Magic Desk you will also see the prices vary from around 300 if opportune to 3,000+ Euros if you use dealers and to reflect condition/lights etc if fitted.
I have the option to deliver COD but hope it is bought in a close radius to Ringwood Hampshire and preferably collected. Then what you see is what you get, and at a favourable price compared to Dealer labeled asking prices and often miles away, or abroad, delivery prices are very high. I might do an estate car delivery but time wasting is not an option.
Notice both have had wheels added which is an "improvement". These do not have the electric light option and I leave that choice to the buyer/s use of new tech, which offers IKEA style additions for a few pounds.
Easy to find, park, turn and load. £400 per item.
