Singer Wanted – Neo-Soul/R&B/Soul Band – South London

Description

Mo South—guitar, bass and percussion—is looking for a singer to complete our line-up alongside a keyboard player.

Our music draws on neo-soul, R&B, soul and funk, with jazz and Latin influences. Our repertoire includes music by D’Angelo, Marvin Gaye, Erykah Badu, Incognito and the Brand New Heavies, with room for our own interpretations and arrangements.

We’re looking for a confident, capable singer with good pitch, timing and expressive phrasing, who feels at home in these styles. We welcome someone who comes prepared and enjoys contributing to song choices, keys and arrangements. If you write original material, we’d be interested in exploring that together too.

We all have jobs outside music, but bring a professional attitude to the band. We rehearse once a week on average, and our aim is to build a strong, settled line-up for paid gigs.

Rehearsals and development time are unpaid: we’re looking for someone who wants to join the band and invest time in building it together.

Ideally, you’ll be based in South London to make regular rehearsals and getting together easier. Musical chemistry, reliability and a shared commitment matter to us.

Get in touch if you’re interested. Thanks - Marcello
