Our 2012 Zafira Elite is a high specification model with the Panoramic glass roof and windscreen - A car which combines 7 seat practicality with a luxury specification and low running costs. This model has the range-topping 165bhp CDTI diesel engine mated to an automatic gearbox for relaxed driving and superb performance. Yes you need a 7 seat car, but that doesn't mean it has to be mundane - In range-topping Elite spec you get all the toys and added WOW factor!

With 7 seats and an economical CDTI engine, the Zafira is one of the most affordable 7 seaters you can buy and run - With excellent economy and refinement. Being a family orientated 7 seat MPV, our Zafira Tourer is highly practical. It is perfect for any family - I doesn't matter if you need 7 seats or just a practical family car with a large boot - The Zafira caters for your every need and it's cheap to run, thanks to its 165bhp, 2 litre turbo-diesel engine that is shared with the Astra and insignia. The Zafira is not so big that it feels cumbersome, but still has room enough for a family of 7. This is a genuine, 96k mile example, for which I have all relative documents as well as the original manuals and service pack. The cars bodywork is clean and well presented and the interior is also very clean and tidy. The 2 litre CDTi engine is a smooth and flexible performer and in 165bhp form, it delivers a mighty punch with a huge wave of torque which provides excellent mid-range acceleration. That engine is mated to a 6 speed automatic gearbox which provides relaxed motorway cruising, especially when combined with the cruise control on this ELITE model. Even with 7 on board, the Zafira Tourer has plenty of go... These cars provide relaxed cruising but are also compact enough to feel quite nippy around town. It is also surprisingly frugal, averaging 48mpg on test.

Flexible seating allows you to stow the rear 2 seats seamlessly into the boot floor in just a coupe of seconds. I find the design and folding action of the rear seats in the Zafira Tourer to be a highly user-friendly design which is light and easy to use. There is a plenty of room for all occupants, and with the rear seats folded a huge boot for all their luggage. The power steering is light and ensures that despite its size, the Zafira Tourer is an easy car to drive. This is made even easier on this top of the range model by having front and rear park-distance sensors.

Despite it's practical 7 seat interior, the Zafira is fairly compact for this type of vehicle and has excellent visibility, so it's easy to park and to place on the road. Strong ABS brakes ensure the Zafira is safe and controllable, even on slippery road surfaces. This car has been looked after by its previous keeper and it even still has its original boot mat and parcel shelf still in place - Something that is rare on this age of Zafira.
