Description
This lovely posy vase bowl is vintage thus collectible. It is believed to be in the Towers range by Davidson (pattern MT1).
This particular example is constructed of thick glass. It is of dark Ruby red colour. It is designed to replicate a flower with fluted sides - each with a frilly top curled out to look like petals. It has a removable clear glass insert with 7 round holes to facilitate the formation of a shapely and supported/upstanding posy. This feature is what makes it so rare as it is the original insert which have seldom survived.
Similar items can be found on other selling sites for between £8 and £15 (without the insert) and £24 with it so grab a bargain!
It would make an ideal gift for any collector of cranberry glassware or of vases. It would make an attractive and functional addition to any room in any style of home.
It is in immaculate pre-owned condition. Buyer must collect from Chepstow at an agreed time or I am happy to package and post for the associated costs. Needs to go asap so all sensible offers will be considered.
