Description

VW Transporter T5 2.5, 6 speed manual, LWB Kombi twin side doors, (with opening windows),
1st registered 05/01/2007. I bought van on 07/06/2011. One previous owner. MOT until 02/03/2026.
Bluetooth cd head unit ( reversing camera compatible, not fitted),
Rear parking sensors, Air con, cruise,
The van is in very good condition for its age with no rust or major dents/ marks. I had it re- sprayed 18 months ago because the original paint had faded in places.
Over the last 18 months I have replaced the :- Turbocharger (didn’t really need changing but I had to replace the exhaust/ turbo gaskets and exhaust manifold gasket so turbo had to come off and given the mileage thought it was sensible to replace anyway).
DPF filter,
Fuel tandem pump,
Power steering pump,
All brake discs, pads, shoes, handbrake cables, front flexi hoses,
Front suspension struts, bushes/ bearing tops. All suspension springs, (40mm lowered). rear shock absorbers, rear spring mounting bushes.
Air con re- gassed and new pressure sensor ( nice and cold).
Clutch and brake pedal switches to fix cruise control.
Windscreen (insurance job due to chip/crack), Bosch wiper blades.
Turbocharger Intercooler.
I fitted the van with smooth caravelle type bumpers.
It has 20 alloys with good load rated tyres. The wheels are about 12 years old so the rims are scuffed but are in generally good clean condition.
The front suspension was fitted with adjustable bottom bushes to stop any uneaven tyre wear.
The van is a great looking vehicle and drives really well. It has been regularly serviced and driven as a diesel should be. As an ex mechanic I always treat my vehicles with care ensuring they are warmed up, not thrashed and allowed to cool down after a run.
The Main “bad” points are :- small amount of paint blistering on o/s/r door.
Passenger seat wear patch, drivers seat base a bit squashed on side, photos show this to best of my ability.
We bought the van in 2011 and drove to Dubrovnik in Croatia.
The van was shelved out in the rear for camping gear/ bikes and as a family of 5 we have travelled all over Europe and the UK. The van has never missed a beat and returns about 40mpg on a long steady run. I would have no hesitation in jumping in the van now and driving anywhere!
This van really is part of our family and we have really debated whether to keep it or not.
We are selling because we’re to old for camping and will be looking for a bigger camper van or caravan?
