Rare AWD (4x4) Ford Transit for sale. L2 H2 with 138k miles and MOT until 30 July 2026.

The van is fitted with the 2.0L 130ps engine, which pulls well and drives nicely. The wet belt was replaced by us when we bought the van at 122k miles for peace of mind. Turbo was also replaced at the same time.

The AWD system gives excellent traction on poor surfaces and off-road. The van normally operates in RWD, automatically engaging AWD when wheel slip is detected, and can also be manually activated when needed. Excellent system for unpredictable road conditions and if you have to go off the beaten track.

The van is a very practical size overall. It’s compact enough to use as a daily driver and fits into parking spaces easily. However there’s still a surprising amount of load space in the back. The high roof makes loading easy.

The wheelbase/tow setup means trailers sit very nicely behind it with minimal rear overhang. The van tows exceptionally well with a 2500kg towing capacity. Even large trailers exhibit minimal weaving compared to our other vehicles.

The van would be a great candidate for conversion to a day van or mini camper. There’s a combination of great offroad capability and ample space for facilities, whilst remaining small enough to manoeuvre and park easily.

Condition-wise, the van has the usual rip in the driver's seat (a stardard issue on the Transit), some age-related scrapes and dings as expected. It also has a knock noticeable at low speed, diagnosed as some wear to the driveshaft.

The van has been excellent for us, but we’ve recently had to replace it with a 4x4 pickup to get greater towing capacity.
