In process of insurance write off as Cat N

New insurance quote said needs a new MOT for me to reinsure. Confident will pass but taking this as a time to return to a car as new job requires more miles and business insurance.

Good points:
-MOT advisories of two front tyres were replaced, otherwise clean MOT in Jan 2026
-Recent new battery
-Clutch recently repaired
-Has micro camper set up with solar panel, single bed box, lined with foam and carpet, internal electrics (needs new leisure battery). Can be returned to solo camper or stripped for a work vehicle.
-Last full service 2024
-Cambelt 2019 before my ownership.

Quirks:
-dent in back door from non-fault collision hence Cat N. Door closes and locks.
-overheating sensor is broken so beeps periodically- been checked and is definitely not over heating.
-driver lock has recently started to spin, currently opening via passenger side.
-break light needs replacing, I have the bulbs

This van has been really useful as a micro camper, solid engine that has been reliable during heat wave and in freezing conditions. I would have kept it if I hadn’t been driven into!

£500 - selling at reasonable price for a camping project or solid working van. Will be worth double this if quirks fixed.
