1956 GMC PICKUP WITH FLEET SIDE BOX BODY BOYD CODDINGTON Here we have a Boyd Codington GMC Fleetside on custom Airlift air ride system with a 1990 Corvette Tuned Port Injection engine with a mild cam and running gear power brakes and power steering. Engine Is a 1990 Corvette 350 cu in, 5.7L V8 producing 350 bhp (estimate) and it has covered 17742 miles since the engine swap and upgrades have being carried out. It has a mild camshaft with factory headers and a 3 inch custom exhaust. This comes with a 4 Speed Automatic 700r transmission with overdrive. The engine and components are from a 90s Corvette which include power steering, air conditioning and alternator. Exterior The condition overall is in excellent condition and is ready to be enjoyed by the next lucky owner. This fleetside has had a full restoration and being carried out to a high standard. This includes the air ride set up and the re location of the fuel tank to the bed of the truck. The front frame is a 1974 Camaro. Is what is called stubbed. Original front frame was cut off and Camaro frame welded on. Why? The 56 GMC did not have power steering, modern suspension and drum brakes. Camaro front end has better suspension, Disk Brakes and Power Steering and motor mounts for 350 Chevy motor. This front end was completely rebuilt. The rear end is 9-inch Ford out of 1967 Ford Bronco. The 9 Inch Ford is choice of street rod racers in U.S. Very strong and easy to fix. Ratio is 3:50-1 has positraction (both wheels spin). Rear end has been rebuilt. Interior The interior has been fully carpeted including the roof and has had more modern black leather power seats installed. The air ride control unit is mounted inside in an easy to reach location. Tilt column with custom steering wheel. All switches are G.M out of an 87 Celebrity. 2 speed electric wipers Recent full service carried out.
