VW Transporter T6.1 Van Racking 19mm Quality Ply Custom Built by Professional
This was fitted to my van when purchased and I converted it into a Campervan.
I purchased the van from a professional chippy who had built this custom racking into the van to carry his trade tools.
It is very well made and quality plywood has been used. It has been scribed so is a nice snug fit (back of the racking is profiled to follow the slight curve of the van inner sides). Still got lots of life in it.
The shelving lines up with the inner bracing of the van at certain points so this is how it was fixed in, L brackets and screws. All the fixings (brackets, handles, coat hooks, clips etc.) you see in the photos have been removed and are not included. I think I still have some of the black rubber mats if wanted.
This may fit other vans and probably fits the T5 & T6, but I can only advise that it came out of a T6.1. My van has a tailgate but I'm 99% certain that the racks will fit into a barn door van.
What's included is the passenger side unit covering the wheel arch running up to just short of the sliding door. In addition there is a longer unit which fits the driver's side. This runs from the rear down to approximately 1000mm short of the bulkhead. This leaves room for bulkier items behind the driver, such as a cement mixer.
