Description
Kirby Vacuum Cleaner, complete with Carpet Shampoo System and Turbo Accessory Kit. Brilliant Vacuum Cleaner with Tech Drive. This drives the wheels to help run the machine back and forth. A few dust bags, polishing Brush Roller, and brush belt. The Kirby vacuum does not just have a continuous suck, but is repeatedly interrupted at a tremendous rate. This action rattles the dirt out of your carpet.
Complete with an array of tools, comprising the hose, for attaching extension tubes and nozzles, and massage cup. The handle for upright vacuum cleaning is detachable, and can be replaced by the short handle. The machine can then be used to vacuum your mattress and bedding. The Kirby can be set up as a blower. And, there is the Carpet Shampoo System, and a set-up for floor polishing. And, the Turbo Accessory Kit, which can be used as a massager or as a Sander, where the resulting dust is automatically vacuumed away. Finally, there is the Turbo Zippbrush, which is useful for vacuuming and brushing your stairs. All these tools fit into fit in and on the caddy for carrying around the home.
Although the Tech Drive is great for drive the machine back and forth, it is now for us, a bit heavy and unwieldy, as we're getting on in years, and is the reason for selling.
The Kirby system cost us £650 back around 1990. So, a lot of money for the time. It was bought through a pair of Kirby salesmen. They demonstrated the vacuum by throwing sandy dust onto our carpet, scrubbling it into the pile, then got me to use our existing Hoover Senior vacuum cleaner to vacuum the area. Then, with a black felt cloth over the exhaust of the Kirby instead of a dust bag, the salesman vacuumed that area again. All of the gritty dirt was in the felt cloth. So, the Hoover hadn't picked up any. Then, with the long handle detached and replaced by the short handle, and a clean felt cloth, I vacuumed our bed. The amount of debris in the cloth was frightening. So, this would be a boon to anybody with allergy to dust mites, such as asthma, will benefit.
