1960 Triumph Tiger 100A

Description

1960 Triumph T100A number matching for sale. As you can see it's a handsome example of the full bathtub models triumph only made for a short while. Over the course of me owning it I've reconditioned the carburettor (new jets, float, gaskets, needle, etc) and overhauled the ignition system (new plugs, plug caps, distributor cap, and condenser), so it runs like a dream and kicks over easy. It also comes with the original carburettor intake boot and distributor boot (both pictured), I just have them off because I think it looks a little better that way. As you can see in the photos it's not 100% perfect paint-wise, but that's about all that's wrong with it and despite that there's no rust anywhere, everything is clean and solid structurally, besides maybe it's better that way as you can actually enjoy riding it rather than worrying about polishing it. It's also one of the later models where they revised the ET ignition to standard coil ignition which makes it a little more reliable and easier to find parts for.

The previous owner had it for around 25 years. I bought it as it's perfect for riding around the country lanes near me, it's a very exciting experience and feels much more connected and engaging than a modern motorcycle. I'm selling it as this is a bike that really shines when you're riding one-up whereas I have a pillion with me quite often these days.
