I hired Joey to complete a garden fence and patio area project initially estimated to take five days. Unfortunately, Joey never completed the job. While the quality of the work completed shows decent craftsmanship and design intent, the overall experience was marred by poor time management, unreliable attendance, and incomplete delivery. Two weeks into the job, Joey went on a ten-day holiday, promising to return immediately afterward to finish the work. Throughout the project, his attendance and working hours were irregular and generally short, often arriving between 9:30 and 11 a.m. and leaving around 2–3 p.m. He usually worked with one helper, even though he repeatedly assured us he would bring more people (originally quoted for three men) to help complete the job on time. At around 70–80% completion, he asked for full payment, citing he needs the money urgently to pay his worker and sustain his cashflow. As per our agreement, final payment was due upon completion, so we initially refused. He later apologised, worked diligently the following day, and brought his assistant to push the job closer to completion perhaps 85%. Wanting to show good faith, we agreed to pay the full amount after he suggested holding back 10%, trusting his word that he’d return to finish the remaining work. He left his tools in our shed, assuring us this was a sign he would come back. After his holiday, contact became difficult. He eventually returned briefly, asked to access his tools, retrieved them, and left without finishing the job. Following further chasing, he came back once more to complete a small fence and a supporting wall, but left again shortly afterward without warning or communication. Despite later apologies, he never returned. Several parts of the job remain unfinished: • Only one gate was installed at the back; the second remains unmounted. • Fence lines are incomplete, leaving parts of the garden exposed. • Work areas were often left messy, including materials and debris in the neighbour’s garden. • Step covering stones were not properly fixed. • Gate handles and bolts remain uninstalled. • All construction waste was left behind. • Steps dismantled to allow digger access were never rebuilt, upsetting neighbours who share the communal path. • Fence post heights were not trimmed to align with panels, leaving an inconsistent appearance. Overall, while the completed portions of the work appear structurally fine, the project management, reliability, and professionalism were highly disappointing. If he had maintained communication and responsibly finished what he started, this could have been a strong outcome.

Joey and lee completed a artificial lawn for us we are very pleased with the outcome and will be using joey next summer to do out porcelain tiles out back , thanks again 😁

We required a awkward block paved driveway only enough for a car but joey and team installed drainage ,sorted levels done a great job in short time. Many thanks 👍🏼
