Warehouse Operatives

Description

NAS Recruitment are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives for ongoing dayshift, backshift and nightshift positions, with our client based in Bathgate. These roles will lead to permanent positions for suitable candidates after a qualifying period.

Various shifts available, subject to requirements Days/Backs/Nights, approx. 8 hours a day.

Rates of pay – GBP12.38 (04:00–22:00); GBP15.48 (22:00–04:00)

Candidates would ideally have experience in a similar role. Having a valid counterbalance forklift licence is also advantageous, though not essential as full training is provided. Proactive, efficient and full of initiative, you ll be trusted to keep the Regional Distribution Centre clean and working correctly.

Your Section Leader will have specific tasks for you, like operating a long fork truck, loading a vehicle or helping to organise pallets and crates. In and around that, you ll be alert and ready to tackle anything that might need doing to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse. It might be something simple like stocking vending machines or cleaning up a spillage. Equally, you ll report any defects to the warehouse area or its equipment. This is a hugely varied role, and a very important one.
