Description

The Opportunity

We're recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to join a growing food manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in procurement, planning and supplier management, ensuring the supply chain operates efficiently while supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Supplier Management

Manage the procurement of raw materials, packaging and third–party services. Source new suppliers and obtain competitive quotations. Negotiate pricing, contracts, service level agreements and payment terms. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability and continuity of supply. Develop alternative sourcing strategies and contingency plans to minimise supply risks. Supply Chain Planning

Forecast demand and manage inventory, material planning and stock availability. Monitor commodity markets, crop cycles, pricing trends and other market factors to support strategic purchasing decisions. Drive improvements in end–to–end supply chain performance, reducing lead times and optimising stock levels. Identify opportunities to reduce costs across warehousing and distribution while maintaining service levels. Performance & Continuous Improvement

Monitor and report on supply chain KPIs. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Support New Product Development through sourcing and supply chain risk assessments. Work collaboratively with production, sales, finance and technical teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives. Compliance & Standards

Keep up to date with relevant legislation, ethical sourcing practices and industry standards. Maintain high standards of food safety, quality, legality and product authenticity. Ensure health and safety procedures are followed. Report any risks relating to products, raw materials, packaging or equipment to enable prompt resolution. About You

You'll have previous experience in procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing or food production environment. You'll be commercially aware, highly organised and confident negotiating with suppliers while managing multiple priorities.

You'll also have:

Strong planning and analytical skills. Excellent communication and relationship–building abilities. A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement. The ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments. A focus on delivering cost–effective solutions without compromising quality or service. Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to join a forward–thinking manufacturer where you'll have genuine influence over procurement and supply chain strategy. You'll play a key role in improving operational performance while working within a collaborative and supportive environment.
