Job Role: Speech & Language Therapist

Job Location: Gloucestershire Council

Salary: £25 - £30 per hour

Working Period: Monday – Friday

Working Hours: 25 hours per week

Assignment Period: 6+ months (temporary contract)

As a preferred supplier to many local and national groups, Fox Morris Group is excited to offer a Speech & Language Therapist position at Gloucestershire Council.

Service Required:

1. Provide high-quality Speech and Language Therapy advice and reports for Statutory Education Health and Care Needs Assessment. Advice should outline child or young person’s educational needs, desired outcomes and special educational provision that may be required to meet identified needs and achieve desired outcomes.

2. Deliver tailored Speech and Language therapy support to children with a variety of developmental, sensory, physical, and emotional needs.

3. Liaise with professionals in educational settings/providers to enable the delivery of indirect therapy, including where appropriate delivering workforce development to educational settings.

4. Provide evidence-based and accessible service delivery: Deliver services in line with UK professional standards, with accessibility across school and community settings.

5. Provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy written advice and attend hearing as witness on behalf of the local authority for SENDIST appeals, and or undertake professional discussions with other Speech and Language Therapists regarding the content of their professional report and recommendations.

Your role may also include working with:

* Children and young people aged 0-25 undergoing statutory Education Health and Care Needs Assessment and/or in SEND appeal.

Minimum Requirements for the Role:

1. Professional Qualifications and Experience:

* All therapists must hold valid HCPC registration and be members of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).

* Must practice in line with Royal College of Speech and Language (RCSLT)

* Minimum of 5 years of paediatric Speech and Language Therapy experience, including experience in writing reports for EHCP assessments.

* Significant experience of working with children with neurodiverse needs

* Therapist must have commitment to development of own continuing professional development

* Therapist must ensure that there are appropriate arrangements in place for personal and professional supervision.
