Description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Repair Workshop Operative to join my client on a contract basis

Role: Repair Workshop Operative

Pay: 13.36 per hour PAYE/ 18.16 per hour via Umbrella

Location: Chippenham

Contract: Monday to Thursday 8am – 4:30pm Friday 8am – 3:30pm

IR35 Status: Inside

Responsibilities

To complete all current operative duties, including but not exclusively: Cardboard balingPackingBooking inTent duties including receiving and despatching delivery (no forklifting) movement of palletsReceiving and stock checking parts for repair teamAdvising parts discrepanciesAdvising out of stock partsAdvising of parts requirements to orderReview and replenish workshop parts shelvingSupport stock control activity within the overflow stock locationPlan and assign new stock locationsSupport stock cycle counts as and when required.Any other stock inventory requirements

Essential Skills:

Previous experience working in a warehouse, stock control, or operative environment is preferred.Experience with goods receiving, despatch, packing, and booking stock into inventory systems.Familiarity with handling parts, stock checking, and supporting workshop or repair teams.Proven ability to identify and report stock discrepancies, shortages, and out–of–stock items.Experience replenishing shelving and maintaining organised stock locations.Ability to safely move pallets and carry out manual handling tasks (no forklift licence required).Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to take on additional duties as needed.
