Production Operative

Description

Extrastaff are delighted to be recruiting for a reliable and flexible Production Operative to join an ever–growing team at a busy indoor plastic recycling facility. This role involves moving materials efficiently around the plant, supporting the recycling process, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Currently for training until beginning of November

Pay: GBP12.71 p/h, Optional 06:00 – 15:00 or 15:00 – 00:00 shift (Monday to Friday)

November onwards

Pay: Moves to GBP13.71 p/h, 18:00 – 06:00 shift, 4 on 4 off

Duties of a Production Operative

Operate baler with stillage.

Remove stillage from various parts of the warehouse

Move waste materials to designated processing areas

Assist with sorting and handling recyclable plastics when required

Conduct daily equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance needs

Watch over and foresee any potential hazards that might bring the sortation lines to a halt. To be able to deal with blockages when they occur

Follow all health and safety procedures and site regulations

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas
