Customer Services Advisor
Are you a customer service whiz with a passion for helping people? The London Borough of Hackney is looking for a Customer Services Advisor to be the first point of contact for our residents. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Tenancy & Leasehold Services Directorate and play a key role in improving the resident experience.
About the role:
In this role, you will be the public face of the London Borough of Hackney. You'll handle a variety of key services, including:
Key Management: You'll be responsible for the entire process for FOB, Gerda, and barrier gate keys, from initial inquiries to distribution and tracking. This includes processing payments and scheduling key collection appointments.
Rehousing & Mutual Exchanges: You'll support residents with the rehousing process, including adding eligible tenants to the waiting list and monitoring the bidding system. You'll also promote and manage the mutual exchange program, assisting tenants with their applications and resolving any issues like rent arrears.
Administrative Support: You'll provide essential administrative support to housing officers, which includes preparing and dispatching mail and maintaining office supplies. You will also oversee the reception area at the Woodberry office, ensuring it is tidy and welcoming for visitors.What we're looking for:
We need someone with a strong background in providing high-quality administrative support in a fast-paced environment. You should be a team player who is proactive and can suggest improvements to processes.
Essential qualifications and experience include:
Experience handling customer queries across various channels, such as in-person, over the phone, and through electronic communication.
The ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced office setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
