Job Title: Machine Operative

Hours: 06:30 - 15:30

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operative to join our expanding production team, primarily working on our Casemaker machine.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring machines operate efficiently and products meet customer specifications. This role requires a team player with strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

We are looking for someone hardworking, flexible, reliable, and willing to learn and embrace new skills.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

• Maintain high standards of product quality at all times.

• Prioritise, organise, and allocate work efficiently.

• Carry out quality control checks on finished products.

• Set up the Casemaker machine between jobs and ensure time targets are met.

• Perform basic maintenance tasks on the machine.

• Ensure all equipment is in a safe and serviceable condition.

• Promote and enforce safety and housekeeping standards within your work area.

• Actively seek opportunities to increase machine efficiency to meet production uptime, speed, and waste targets.

• Complete all required paperwork to communicate issues and maintain performance standards.

• Report safety hazards or faults to ensure all work is carried out safely.

• Respond rapidly to machine failures or breakdowns and inform relevant departments (planning and dispatch).

• Maintain cleaning schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly checks).
