Description

Our client, an established organisation within the aerospace MRO sector, is seeking a Licensed Engineer to join its engineering team at the Cumbernauld base. This permanent role involves supporting line and base aircraft maintenance activities across operational and temporary working locations, with occasional overnight stays when required.

Key Responsibilities:

Support line and base aircraft maintenance activities at the Cumbernauld base and other operating locationsComplete aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with approved data, current regulations, industry best practice and company authorisationsCertify completed maintenance work within the scope of relevant approvals and authorisationsIdentify, document and record aircraft defects following debriefs with operational crew membersSupervise and provide guidance to engineering and support personnel when requiredEnsure tooling and support equipment are used, maintained and stored correctlyCarry out aircraft handling, refuelling, role changes and cleaning activities in support of operational requirementsMaintain a safe, clean and organised working environment while providing wider engineering and operational support

Job Requirements:

Relevant experience as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer within an aircraft maintenance or aerospace MRO environmentAppropriate aircraft maintenance licence and authorisations for the work being undertakenStrong knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures, approved technical data and applicable aviation regulationsAbility to diagnose, document and resolve aircraft defects accuratelyCommitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and regulatory complianceAbility to supervise and support engineering personnel effectivelyStrong attention to detail and a practical, methodical approach to problem–solvingFlexibility to work at other bases or temporary locations, including occasional overnight stays

Working Pattern:

The role operates on a 28–day rotating shift pattern consisting of 10–hour shifts across six days on and four days off, followed by four days on and six days off. This averages 35 hours per week across the cycle. Additional hours may occasionally be required to meet operational needs and may be managed through time off in lieu or overtime arrangements.
