This is a fantastic opportunity for an innovative and people-focused FM professional to drive operational excellence, lead service improvements and play a key role in delivering the Foundation's long-term Estates and Facilities strategy.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Estates, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across both Hard and Soft FM services, ensuring the effective delivery of maintenance, compliance, engineering, cleaning, catering, security, waste, grounds maintenance and reception services.

You will lead internal teams and external contractors, ensuring statutory compliance, outstanding customer service and value for money while fostering a positive, high-performing culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the operational delivery of Hard and Soft FM services across a complex multi-site estate.

* Ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including health and safety legislation.

* Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM), statutory inspections and critical building systems.

* Lead and develop in-house FM teams while managing outsourced service providers and contracts.

* Monitor performance through KPIs, audits and customer feedback, driving continuous improvement.

* Oversee CAFM systems, asset management and operational reporting.

* Manage FM budgets, procurement activities and supplier performance.

* Support long-term estates planning, sustainability initiatives and capital development projects.

* Lead operational readiness for refurbishments, new buildings and service transitions.

* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation while providing visible and inspiring leadership.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

* Significant experience leading Facilities Management operations across complex or multi-site estates.

* Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, health and safety legislation and FM best practice.

* Experience managing both in-house teams and outsourced FM contracts.

* Excellent financial management and budgetary experience.

* Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.

* A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to lead through change.

Desirable Experience

* Membership of IWFM, CIBSE, IOSH, NEBOSH or other relevant professional body.

* Experience within healthcare, education, public sector or similarly regulated environments.

* Knowledge of CAFM systems, digital transformation and asset management.

* Understanding of sustainability initiatives and Net Zero programmes. xjnqpsq

* Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.

What We're Looking For

This role will suit a visible and approachable leader who enjoys building relationships, developing teams and challenging the status quo in a positive way. You'll be commercially aware, customer-focused and passionate about creating safe, compliant and high-performing environments.

If you're looking for an opportunity where your leadership can genuinely improve services and positively impact the lives of others, we'd love to hear from you
