Description

We’re looking for an experienced and self-motivated Housing Officer to join a supportive team in the Ashfield district. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about housing and community support who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on role.

You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality housing services, supporting tenants, and working closely with the community to ensure safe and sustainable housing.

Location: Ashfield District, Nottinghamshire (office & patch-based)

Hours: 37 per week (Monday–Friday)

Contract: 5 months+

Pay: £22.00 per hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage a caseload of tenancies, providing advice and support on housing matters

* Carry out estate/patch visits and inspections to maintain standards

* Handle tenancy issues including arrears, anti-social behaviour, and tenancy breaches

* Support tenants to sustain their homes and signpost to partner agencies where needed

* Work collaboratively with internal teams and external organisations

* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with housing policies and legislation

What We’re Looking For:

* Previous experience in housing management (essential)

* Strong knowledge of tenancy law, housing legislation, and safeguarding

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Strong organisational and time management skills
