HGV2 Driver

Description

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and professional HGV2 / HGV Class 2 Driver to join us immediately on a full time basis. We are a family–run business with a great team looking for a like–minded HGV Driver to come on board at our depot in Purfleet, Essex (RM15).

Job Details

Mon–Fri, 05:45 starts. Optional Saturday's available to earn extra money – half day or less, full day still paid. 3–6 deliveries in specific postcode areas (your manifest could be based around SE, SW, W, NW, N, E or TN, ME, CR, BN). Deliveries of pallets (wines/spirits) in the above areas. Averaging 9 hours per day. 50/50 split of tail lift offload deliveries and forklift offload deliveries. Electric pump truck oboard for any tail lift deliveries You will drive the same HGV2 vehicle every day. You will be working with other FTS drivers who do the same job every day. Why work with us?

All of our HGV drivers are long term members of the team, averaging 6 years with the business. Driver's don't come and go, they stay for a long time. We don't bother you unnecessarily – all of our processes are automated on an app (like vehicle checks) and you don't need to check in and out of the depot when you start and finish – this shortens your day. We have a young but experienced transport team who are on hand to help anytime and have a friendly and ambitious approach to growing the business. Growth opportunities are offered to internal drivers first, we like to give more when we get more. As new work comes in, we may offer to upskill you with certain qualifications and progress your career. The work is consistent, well paid and our HGV drivers are well respected.
