Connect Driver Solutions is recruiting a HGV Class 2 Driver based in Dunbar, covering end–of–life tyre collection routes across Scotland.

Our client is an established waste management business offering consistent Monday to Friday work, your own assigned vehicle from day one and a structured overnight rota.

Please Note: Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug and alcohol test before being placed on assignment.

What's on offer?

Temporary to permanent opportunityMonday to Friday, start times between 4:30am and 6am – depending on routePaid weekly at 15.23 per hour, rising to 20.30 per hour after 48 hours 26.20 overnight allowance – overnights available at least every second weekOwn vehicle assigned from day oneAs a Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

Collecting end–of–life tyres from garages, commercial businesses and waste facilities across ScotlandManually loading and unloading tyres at collection points and the depotCompleting all required paperwork including waste transfer notes accuratelyConducting daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects promptlyProviding a professional and courteous service to customers at all collection pointsThe ideal Class 2 Driver will have:

A valid Class 2 licence – new driver's welcomeValid DCPC and Digital Tachograph CardA good level of physical fitness due to the manual handling requirements of the roleGood communication skills and a professional approach to customer interactionStrong time management and organisational skillsPlease Note: Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug and alcohol test before being placed on assignment.
