The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry–leading client based in the Bury St Edmunds area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers (C) to join the team.

Roles:

HGV Class 2 Days Shifts:

One week– Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (45hr rest Friday and Saturday) Following week– Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday (45hr rest Monday and Saturday) Hours:

16:30pm start– typically 02:00am finish Pay Rate:

Class 2 Days– 16.13 per hour PAYE Location: Bury St. Edmunds IP32

Job Type: Ongoing with the opportunity of permanent for the right candidate

Please note this roles start date is for the end of October and you must be available on Sundays

The role:

Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.

Handling runs (2–3 depending on location), focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.

Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.

Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).

Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

Full understanding of WTD legislation.

Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.

Excellent communication skills.
