Description

Salary GBP41,409 per annum based on 48 hours per week.

Plus overtime available at GBP22.12 per hour.

Working Pattern:

Working 4 days per week from Monday to Saturday, on a 3-week rota.

Week 1 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Week 2 Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday. Week 3 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Location:

Coulton, Hovingham, York, YO62 4NQ. Circa 20 mins drive from Malton, 30 mins from Thirsk, 30 mins from Pickering, 35 mins from York, 45 mins from Stokesley.

Company Description:

The Ian Mosey Group is a reputable and well-established family-owned business. Ian Mosey (Feed) Ltd, a subsidiary, specialises in the manufacture and distribution of quality animal feed, mainly pig and poultry from its mill in Coulton, across England and the Scottish Borders.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join our team.

Job Purpose:

You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely collection of raw materials from stores and delivery of feed to a wide variety of customer farms. Representing our Company on the front line, you will build positive relationships with our valued customers and suppliers, with a commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards and compliance with drivers' regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to all road traffic regulations, including drivers' hours and the Working Time Directive.

Complete daily vehicle safety checks (pre/during/post shift) and report any defects.

Deliver feed from our mill to farms using a bulk blower trailer and collect raw material from stores and deliver to our mill.

Operate all vehicle and delivery equipment safely and professionally.

Plan delivery routes in collaboration with the driver & fleet team.

Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery and tachograph, accurately and on time.

Ensure high standards of vehicle cleanliness, both inside and out.

Demonstrate efficient and cost-effective driver behaviours.

Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 1 (C & E) driving license.

Driver CPC qualification.

Valid Digital Tachograph card.

1+ years of regular Class 1 HGV driving.

Strong communication.

A professional and flexible approach to working hours, including early starts and longer days as required.

Physically active, due to the hands-on requirements when on farm.

Good geographical knowledge and confidence with rural routes.

Open to ad-hoc 'nights out' in the evenings.

Desirable Requirements:

Experience with bulk blowing / tipper / other pneumatic discharge equipment.

Experience working within an agricultural environment.

Good geographical knowledge and confidence with rural routes.
